JB Warranties Help Scout Connector
Work your Help Scout tickets from Claude or ChatGPT. Find and read conversations, add internal notes, draft or send replies, and change status, assignee and tags. You act as yourself, so Help Scout shows your name and your inbox permissions apply.
Set it up (once)
- Add the connector. Use this address as the server URL:
https://hs-mcp.jbwarranties.app/mcp- Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector.
- ChatGPT: Settings, Connectors, Advanced, turn on Developer mode, then Create. For the icon, upload this image.
- Sign in to Help Scout. A Help Scout page opens. Sign in with your work account and choose Authorize. Then choose Allow on the page that names the connector and you.
- Check it. Ask: "Am I connected to Help Scout?"
If Claude or ChatGPT says your Help Scout account is not connected, reconnect the Help Scout connector in its settings. To remove the connection later, ask it to disconnect Help Scout.
Things to try
- Show my open tickets, newest first.
- Which unassigned tickets in the Claims inbox have waited the longest?
- Read conversation #4411 and tell me what the dealer is asking for.
- Find tickets about "refund" that were updated this week.
- Add a note to #4411: "Called the dealer, waiting on the invoice."
- Draft a reply to #4411 that says we approved the claim. Let me read it first.
- Assign #4411 to me and add the tag "waiting on dealer".
- Close #4411.
Good to know
- Notes are internal. Drafts are saved in Help Scout for you to review and send there.
- An email reply is sent only after you see a preview and say yes.
- Quoted reply history is left out of what the AI reads. Ask it to open one message in full if you need the rest.
- Changing tags replaces the whole tag list. A tag someone changes in Help Scout at the same moment can be overwritten.
